Another one

Another late 40's maybe 50 ish poster (Not that age is any problem, just funny when some people don't seem to realize it is a natural process and are determined to believe it somehow escaped them) who is critical of "Sankies" and "Sankietees" but partakes in that very same adventure. Dress is very inconsistent with true age and probably the most obvious of all the boards in trying to look 20 years younger than really is. Needs a fashion consultant and clothing about 2 sizes larger

We were going to post "our observations" of a few others today, but it is more interesting posting what we think the persons style is and see who agrees with us before publishing, so far one for one

And as an aside, don't think we won't include a past observation we have made in the "Whose the poster" contest as we obviously already used some of the more popular and controversial names

Seeing I do have to work for a living, I may not get back on this one until Sunday, but give it a go and will answer then, along with what may be some colorful comments from Ed (Rellosk). Ed, don't disappoint us, it's nothing personal, just how we and obviously many other see you :-)

I would suspect Musicqueen.

fwiw, I am enjoying the wit and satire here. Got the biggest kick from a previous writing, "on a sad note, we are now editing commments", etc. LOL.

I don't agree with all the comments made, but so what. Will check in here again perhaps and post those disagreements ... if the anonymity issue can be resolved.

I believe this space/idea would carry much more oomph without the anonymity... at the moment, anyone may sign as anyone. My vote is for a setup that requires user names and passwords.

ie... You want to have your voice heard... at least have the courage to sign your damn name. Otherwise, your words are meaningless to anyone with a thinking brain. I may just contribute here when there's a mechanism of authenticity in place. Help set some records straight, and all that jazz.

It might be entertaining to let the different perspectives go at it... kind of a clearing ground for discontent from DR1 and elsewhere online. heheh. Without censorship, of course.

Where the line is always drawn on freedom of speech is the implied idea of equal freedoms. In my experience with writers online, this line is drawn at violence or intimidation, whether by language used or threat of phyysical harm... for example, the use of swear words and gutter language is known to be a lesser form of physical violence. Obviously, such word usage--intimidation-- violates the right of another to exercise his right of freedom of speech.

The biggest joke of the latest blog fiascos is the accusations flying around from anonymous nobodies... with these same cowards accusing a long running and openly known blog of cowardice. Too funny.

My experience has been that not too many in this world have the conviction to say what they REALLY think and sign their name to it.

So, I agree with your premise... anonymous blogs that exist only to injure do great injury to the concept of freedom of speech on the internet-- heck, where else do ordinary people have the possibility of a voice in this world? It's extremely frightening to see govts and countries shutting down individual voices for their own agendas; at all costs, citizens of the world must fight against this problem, is my view... before we lose the power of the internet to the powers that be.

This was my one problem with DR1s abuse of the concept of blogging, and I told Robert this face to face a few months ago. Not wise to mix business with freedom of speech in my view.

It's the first tenet of blogging that a personal blog is a personal journal... to vent, rage, share, whatever. Someone doesn't like it... why bother reading? Simple concept. Impossible for many to understand because it would seem they have nothing better to do?

So, a huge difference between a named blog and an anonymous blog. Let's name the cowards for who they really are... the nameless ones.

PS This is my first time commenting in the recent anonymous landscape hitting the North Coast of the DR... and last time as well.
